Full Tilt Poker — $1K Monday
The $1K Monday tournament on Full Tilt attracted 418 runner this week, a huge increase from last week’s field of 356. The prize pool easily cleared the $300,000 guarantee, eventually settling on $418,000 after late registration ended.
The tournament paid out 45 spots, with the honorary bubble boy title being given out to Jeremy "ChipSteela" Menard. Other notables to make the money included Paul "uclabruinz" Smith (45th), Blake "Balla-B13" Cahail (43rd), Josh Arieh (38th), Thayer "THAY3R" Rasmussen (33rd), Mike "SowersUNCC" Sowers (32nd), HU4ROLLZ (31st), Jonathan "shipitobv" Delong (30th), Soren Kongsgaard (26th), Geoff "GeoffRas22" Rasmussen (24th), Nick "agriffrod" Mitchell (22nd), Brian "ZBTHorton" Horton (20th), Chris "fisheater111" Walsh (19th), Isaac "luvtheWNBA" Haxton (17th), Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy (16th), Shaun "tedsfishfry" Deeb (15th), Wesley "snoringbeagl" Whybrew (13th), Alex "princetendee" Smith (11th), and Scott "mastrblastr" Seiver (10th).

Despite coming into the table last in chips with just seven or so big blinds to his name, the eventual winner of the tournament was paigowpro. Paigowpro has already had a solid year, cashing for $172,421 in 2009 OPOY-qualifying events and finishing in third place in this same tournament back in January.
On the final hand, paigowpro’s middle pair held against CharlieDV’s flush draw to take the title and the $104,500 first place prize.

PokerStars — Super Tuesday
The PokerStars Super Tuesday tournament brought in 395 players this week, up from last week’s number of 324. This week the site was able to avoid overlays and clear the $350,000 guarantee.
A total of 45 places were paid out to notables such as Luke "Bdbeatslayer" Vrabel (43rd), Brian "SNoOoWMAN" Hawkins (42nd), govshark2 (39th), Paul "uclabruinz" Smith (38th), Randall "RandALLin" Flowers (33rd), Jason "Taknapotin" Somerville (29th), Kory "s00tedj0kers" Kilpatrick (28th), Bjorn "bjolla" Andre Hovden (18th), Peter "twirlpro" Turmezey (16th), Nick "FU_15" Maimone (15th), David "malicous222" Randall (13th), Greg "gregior" Howard (12th), and Chris "Bushman" Bush (10th).
The final table featured Ozenc "ozenc" Demir (ninth), Dani "supernova9" Stern (seventh), Alex "mahoney3" Todd (fifth), Nicolas "PKaiser" Fierro (fourth), and Daniel "dw2006" Woolson (second, pictured above right).
When play got five-handed, a deal was struck based on the slightly altered numbers provided by the site. With nothing more than pride and tournament leader board points on the line, the eliminations came quickly. Woolson got the rest of his chips all in with K-10 against Norin22’s A-Q and it failed to connect with the board, giving Norin22 the victory.
Here were the final table results:
- Norin22 — $62,974*
- Daniel "dw2006" Woolson — $51,806*
- goleafsgo41 — $46,949*
- Nicolas "PKaiser" Fierro — $38,760*
- Alex "mahoney3" Todd — $34,162*
- ze_caicara — $17,775
- Dani "supernova9" Stern — $13,825
- jack clumpas — $9,875
- Ozenc "ozenc" Demir — $6,912

The tournament paid out 18 spots, with the unfortunate bubble boy being Christian "charder30" Harder. Other notables who managed a cash included Kyle "Thewood04" Zartman (18th), Paul "PIRATE-PAB" Foltyn (17th), Keven "Stamdogg3" Stammen (16th), Chris "herdgolf86" Tipper (15th), Jonathan "M0NSTER_D0NG" Karamalikis (11th), and final-table bubble boy Alex "AJKHOOSIER1" Kamberis (10th).

- Yevgeniy "ConvivialGuy" Timoshenko aka Jovial Gent — $40,810
