With only three weeks remaining in Card Player’s Online Player of the Year race, the opportunities to catch runaway leader Alex "AJKHoosier1" Kamberis are slipping further and further away. At this point in the year, it would take a major Sunday victory by someone in the top 10 in order to catch him.

PokerStars Sunday Million
The Sunday Million barely made its guarantee last night, attracting a field of 7,549 and generating a prize pool of just over $1.5 million. The tournament was down about 30 entrants from the week before, but that may have been due to the large field of players still remaining in the WPT Doyle Brunson Classic Championship at Bellagio.
A number of notables made a deep run, including Taylor "ElMastermind" McFarland (68th), Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah (65th), Steven "PiKappRaider" Burkholder (56th), Chris "cdbr3799" Dombrowski (49th), and T.J. "WhatarunAA" Slifka (34th).
The final table featured Mike "CHI01" Chiappetta. Chiappetta made a serious bid for the title, but ultimately fell just short with a runner-up finish to opis/sp. Opis/sp earned $185,705 for his first-place finish in the event.
Here were the final table results:
- opis/sp — $152,007*
- Mike "CHI01" Chiappetta — $122,007*
- jdballer40 — $122,007*
- drpossjr25 — $69,451
- Eeedz — $54,353
- TommyE79 — $39,255
- 5fish — $26,422
- Mighty Horse — $17,363

Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee
It was a much more star-studded affair at Full Tilt, where several online notables were able to make a run at the title. A total of 3,485 players put up the $200 buy-in. That meant that the site fell just short of its guarantee and was forced to provide a small overlay.
Of those who made it far were Ryan "toetagu" Fair (86th), Gary "GB2005" Bogdanski (53rd), and T.J. "LivesWithMommy" Slifka (18th). Dovid "The Yid" Yisrael (eighth) and Miguel "rusostreet" Londono (fourth) were able to boast a final-table finish.
In the end, dudetronic took out skullkicker for the win.

Cereus Poker did its job yesterday over at UltimateBet, creating one of the more stacked Sunday final tables in a long time. A total of 886 players bought in, resulting in a small overlay for the $200,000 guarantee.
Notables William "gptbigguy33" Looper, Shannon "Bluffforrent" Shorr, and Matthias "technics_" Neu all made the final table, but the real star power came with the final heads-up match as UltimateBet pro Shawn Rice took on Chris "FeedMEMunE" Kline. Kline got the better of Rice and took down the tournament.
Here were the final table results:

It was another down week for Bodog, as 693 entrants put up the $100 buy-in. The tournament was down just a few players from the week before, but that was just fine with the eventual winner, who had to face less competition for the same prize money.
Notables Lance "kingpin023" Harris (fifth) and Lucas "BeaverFeaver" Rifkin (fourth) were able to make the final table. RonnDough took advantage of the smallish field and took home the top prize of $23,600.
