Russia and Denmark Get Heads Up at WSOP Main Event

Ivan Demidov and Peter Eastgate Heads Up for $9 million First Prize at World Series of Poker Main Event


Russian Ivan Demidov and Dane  Peter Eastgate are the last two men standing at the World Series of Poker 2009 main Chip leader Peter Eastgateevent final table. Play has finished for the day and the two will return tomorrow  for their heads up match, the winner of which will receive $9,152,416 and the runner up $5,809,595.

Nine players started the event on Sunday Nov. 9:

Seat 4: Scott Montgomery — 19,690,000

Seat 7: Ivan Demidov — 24,400,000
Seat 8: Kelly Kim — 2,620,000
Seat 9: Peter Eastgate — 18,375,000

Heads up play, which starts tomorrow at 10 p.m Pacific Time (6 a.m Tuesday moring GMT) with Eastgate the chip leader on 79,500,000 and Demidov on 57,725,000.
