OnePass, Continental Airlines’ frequent-flier mile program, is giving away 21 million miles in a poker tournament in August at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas to celebrate its 21-year anniversary.

The tournament is limited to 420 OnePass members. To secure a spot, members must register and put up 50,000 miles, which will be debited from the player’s OnePass account, as well as purchase a $821 Golden Nugget event package, which includes the four-night stay.

The tournament will begin at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 6, with all 420 competitors. From 7:30p.m.-10 p.m., players and guests will be treated to food, liquor, and live entertainment. The tournament continues on Aug. 7, and on Aug. 8, the top 40 players and their guests will be treated to dinner at Grotto Ristorante with Continental executives. The top 10 players will play it out on Saturday, Aug. 9, and also be treated to dinner at Vic and Anthony’s Steakhouse.

More information on this can be found on the Continental Airlines website.

Sounds like a fun tournament but why would anyone pay $821.00 to stay at the Golden Nugget when they can be comped at any better casino. Move this to Wynn, even Mandalay Bay and I'll sign up in a minute plus I'll get comped for the Room.
