In a recent social media post, high-stakes poker pro Tom Dwan said he will be filing lawsuits after a recent stay in a British mental health facility.

At the end of April, the online poker legend tagged high-profile politicians from the United States and England in a series of cryptic tweets. It resulted in a stay at Park Royal Center for Mental Health in Middlesex.

Now, Dwan is out of the facility and back in the United States. He said he was drugged against his will and described his stay as being “effectively held as a prisoner.” Additionally, he said the staff coerced him to send his April 30 tweet, where Dwan said he was “feeling a bit better” and was “a bit stressed.”

“I’ll be filing many complaints and a buncha diff lawsuits, along with some various tweets and other PR…” tweeted Dwan.

According to his Twitter feed, Dwan arrived in the U.S. on May 17. He said staff subjected to numerous tests against his will while in the Park Royal Center for Mental Health in Middlesex.

Dwan said he was going to stay off Twitter for a while and keep quiet about the recent situation. However, he said he would talk about the incident in more detail during a future stream with Abril Zucchi.

Dwan isn’t the only one with complaints about the mental health center. On May 1, well before Dwan was released, James Marinkovic tweeted about Dwan’s well-being. Attached were Google reviews on the facility he was in.

The reviews he attached were “horrifying.”

“Hated to see how patients were being spoken to and sorry to say I saw zero compassion,” wrote one reviewer.

Another reviewer, who said she was treated at the facility, described the treatment as “frighteningly poor care.”

A third reviewer who lived nearby said he could “hear screams often” and called the police over the disturbing noises.
