The PokerGO Tour Texas Poker Open is back this year after an impressive debut at Champions Club Texas in Houston in 2024.

The festival is once again highlighted by the $2,000,000 guaranteed 3,300 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event, which starts today and features eight starting flights to choose from between now and April 27. The event will also award PGT rankings points to those that make the money.

“After the overwhelming success of last season’s event, we’re thrilled to bring the PGT Texas Poker Open back to Champions Club Texas,” said PokerGO Director of Live Events Tim Duckworth. “Texas continues to establish itself as a premier destination for tournament poker, and we are excited to build on the momentum with another high-caliber event.”

The 2025 PGT Texas Poker Open series spans from April 16-29, with 20 events and nearly $2.5 million in total guaranteed prize money. Events will range from $150 to $5,100 to enter, with three consecutive one-day high roller events featuring the latter buy-in (April 25-27).

“We were blown away by the response to the first-ever PGT Texas Poker Open and are eager to welcome players back for another incredible tournament,” said President of Champions Club Texas Isaac Trumbo. “The PGT represents the pinnacle of tournament poker, and we look forward to once again showcasing Texas’ passion for the game inside our premier venue.”

Champions Poker Club was founded in 2020 by Poker Hall of Famers Doyle Brunson, Dewey Tomko, and Phil Hellmuth alongside Roy Choi and Jieho Lee. The flagship venue in Houston is home to a 71-room boutique hotel. According to the PGT press release, the hotel offers “Complimentary valet parking, wi-fi access, 24/7 onsite food service, a fitness center, a pool, and a business center.”
