Dr. Christopher Costa took a day away from his Platinum Plastic Surgery clinic in Las Vegas to close out a win in the 2025 PokerGO Tour Pot-Limit Omaha Series $10,000 progressive knockout event. Costa outlasted a field of 116 entries in the four-card PKO affair, earning $123,200 from the main prize pool and $190,000 in bounties as the champion.
This was the major live tournament title for Costa. He does have one prior win in Sin City, but it came in a smaller $400 PLO event during the 2023 Wynn Signature Series. This was also his largest score yet, blowing away the $58,125 he earned for a fourth-place showing in a $5,100 event at the 2024 PGT PLO Series II last fall.
Costa earned 23 PGT points for the win, enough to move him into third place in the series-long points race.
The top 17 finishers made the money in this event, with $1,160,000 in total prizes awarded, including bounties. Plenty of big names ran deep, including several multi-time bracelet winners like Bryce Yockey (16th), Jesse Lonis (9th), Dylan Linde (7th), and Nick Schulman (6th).
Kamel Mokhammad (5th – $48,720) was the first to fall on the final day, with his top two pair running into the nut flush of Alex Foxen.
Flushed out! @WAFoxen spikes the river to eliminate Kamel Mokhammad in 5th place.

Bruno Furth soon followed. He was down to just a few big blinds when he finally took a stand with pocket aces and was called in two spots. Costa flopped trip queens and bet Foxen out of the side pot on the flop, leaving Furth in rough shape with two cards to come. The turn improved Costa to queens full, which meant that an ace on the end would be Furth’s only chance for survival. A seven rolled off instead and Furth was sent to the rail in fourth place ($62,640).
Costa entered three-handed play with a massive lead. Foxen put some distance between himself and Jordan Glazer, but the latter won a big pot with flopped quads to narrow that gap considerably.
Glazer was unable to keep up that momentum, though, and was ultimately the next to be eliminated. His final hand pitted KK

turn gave Costa the nut flush draw. The 2
on the end completed that draw to end Glazer’s run in third place ($80,200).
Heads-up play began with Costa holding 12,115,000 to Foxen 2,380,000. Foxen was able to grow his stack in the early going, only to fall back below his start point when Costa won a healthy pot with a straight.
Foxen then went on a tear, kickstarted thanks to a big win with thanks to making flush-over-flush. He then doubled up, with his top pair besting the overpair of kings held by Costa. Foxen drilled trips on the turn and then improved to a boat on the end to edge into the lead.
All of that progress for Foxen was lost when he attempted to run a big bluff, only to have Costa look him up with the wheel. Costa took a 6:1 lead again after making the call, and was soon hoisting the trophy. The final hand saw Foxen three-bet shove the last of his short stack from the big blind over Costa’s button raise with AQ

Foxen climbed inside the top 50 in the 2025 Card Player Player of the Year race thanks to the 500 POY points he earned for this second-place showing. This was his third final-table finish of the year.
