Lautaro Guerra has accumulated more than $5.8 million in tournament poker earnings, almost exclusively through his incredible success in pot-limit Omaha events. The Spanish player has 43 recorded scores, with all but three of them coming in PLO tournaments. The bracelet winner’s latest four-card triumph saw him defeat a field of 100 entries in the fourth and final PLO event spread at the 2025 Triton Poker Jeju festival, a $30,000 buy-in bounty affair.

Guerra earned his first trident trophy and $503,000 as the champion, the third-largest score of his career. This came just over three months after he took down the 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise $100,000 PLO event for $2.1 million and the hardware.

The win in Korea came with 840 Card Player Player of the Year points. This was his second final-table finish of 2025, having also placed second in the €10,300 event at the PLO Grand Slam Tirana in Albania for $307,840 and 700 points. With 1,540 total points, Guerra is now ranked 35th in this year’s POY standings presented by Global Poker.

The top 17 finishers made the money in this event, with six-figure payouts for the final six. Plenty of big names cashed, including two-time bracelet winner Artur Martirosian (17th), two-time Super High Roller Bowl winner Isaac Haxton (16th), four-time bracelet winner Chance Kornuth (14th), four-time Triton champion Wai Kin Yong (13th), bracelet winner Eelis Parssinen (12th), and 11-time bracelet winner Phil Ivey (10th).

Bracelet winner Sam Greenwood was the big stack while Guerra sat in the middle of the pack when the final table photo was snapped with seven remaining. Bracelet winner Jose ‘Nacho’ Barbero was sent packing in seventh place ($89,000) by three-time bracelet winner Alex Foxen.

Two-time bracelet winner Stephen Chidwick’s run came to an end in sixth place came to an end when his open-ended straight draw with outs to two different sets was unable to overcome the pocket aces of Foxen. Chidwick now has more than $64.9 million in recorded earnings, the third-most of any player in tournament poker history. The British poker pro is also ranked second on the all-time PLO earnings list with more than $5.4 million, which includes two seven-figure WSOP wins in the game.

Five-time Triton winner Danny Tang was the next to fall, with the last of his short stack going in with ADiamond SuitQHeart Suit8Spade Suit5Diamond Suit against the KSpade SuitQSpade Suit9Club Suit6Spade Suit of Guerra, who made a pair of kings to win the pot. Tang earned $147,000 for his efforts.

2023 Triton Monte Carlo PLO bounty event winner Gavin Andreanoff came within a few spots of securing his second title on the tour, but ultimately bowed out in fourth place ($183,000) when Guerra made a straight to collect his last couple of big blinds.

The very next hand saw another big clash. Foxen picked up AHeart SuitADiamond Suit5Club Suit3Club Suit in the big blind and was up against KClub SuitJSpade Suit10Spade Suit6Heart Suit for Guerra, who was way out in front on the leaderboard. The two contenders saw a flop of ASpade SuitQSpade Suit3Spade Suit. Foxen had hit top set with the pot already at 3,200,000 while he had just 1,925,000 remaining in his stack. He check-called a single big blind continuation bet on the flop from Guerra, who had nailed the second-nut flush with a royal flush redraw. The turn brought the 4Spade Suit and both players checked. The 9Diamond Suit completed the board and Foxen bet 1,150,000, leaving 375,000 behind. Guerra moved all-in and Foxen went into the tank before making the call to finish third ($221,000). The score moved his career haul past the $46.6 million mark.

Guerra held a 9:1 chip lead over Greenwood when heads-up play began. It took just a single hand to convert that advantage into the title. The chips went in with Greenwood holding 10Diamond Suit9Diamond Suit6Club Suit5Club Suit facing KSpade SuitKClub Suit10Club Suit4Heart Suit for Guerra. The board came down QClub SuitJSpade Suit7Diamond Suit2Heart SuitAClub Suit and Guerra made broadway to lock up the pot and the title.

Greenwood cashed for $340,000 as the runner-up. The Canadian’s lifetime earnings now sit at $42.5 million.
