Mallory Klaus Tops 1,943 Entries In Trailblazer Poker Tour Event At Texas Card House

The Trailblazer Poker Tour $1,000,000 guaranteed $800 no-limit hold’em event at Texas Card House in Dallas drew a massive field of 1,943 entries, resulting in a final prize pool of $1,360,100.

The largest share of that money was ultimately awarded to Oklahoma City resident Mallory Klaus, who walked away with the trophy and $211,745 as the champion.

Klaus also secured 540 Card Player Player of the Year points for the win, enough to move her inside the top 100 in the 2025 POY race standings presented by Global Poker.

When the final table began, Klaus was the short stack. Bracelet winner and World Poker Tour champion Craig Varnell (8th – $25,629) was among the early knockouts on the final day, with his Q-J unable to hold against the Q-10 suited of Sebastien Guinand.

Klaus fared better against Guinand when her AA against AJ. Neither player connected with the board and Guinand was sent packing in fifth place ($55,760).

Zak Baron busted Scot Fahrenbruch (4th – $74,700) to enter three-handed play with the chip lead. Klaus then eliminated Elan Lepovic, who shoved with middle pair of tens on the flop only to run into pocket kings. Lepovic earned $100,685, while Klaus climbed into a virtual tie with Baron going into heads-up play.

The final two battled it out for a couple of hours, with Klaus having established a big lead by the time the final hand arrived. Baron shoved his last six big blinds with Q7 from the button and Klaus called with J9. The board ran out K54J5 and Klaus made jacks and fives to lock up the pot and the title. Baron was awarded $146,080 as the runner-up.
