Maryland gaming regulators announced that the state’s six casinos won a combined $143.5 million from gamblers last month, an increase of nearly six percent year-over-year.

Maryland’s six privately owned casinos are: MGM National Harbor, Live! Casino, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Hollywood Casino Perryville, Ocean Downs Casino and Rocky Gap Casino Resort. April 2018 was the fourth full month in which it was possible to make a direct year-over-year comparison including all six of the state’s casinos. MGM National Harbor opened on Dec. 8, 2016.

MGM National Harbor led the way with $57.7 million in revenue from both slot machines and table games in April, an increase of 15.6 percent year-over-year.

Live! Casino was second with $46.8 million, a 3.3 percent increase year-over-year. Horseshoe Casino Baltimore had $21.7 million, an 11.5 percent decrease compared to April 2017.

The rest of the revenue belonged to Hollywood Perryville (7.3 percent increase), Ocean Downs (14.8 percent increase) and Rocky Gap (2.8 percent increase).
