A Fish Wins Heartland Poker Tour Event in Iowa

Jason Fish may have the last name of someone who is known to be a bad poker player, but he proved that he was anything but a fish when he won the Heartland Poker Tour's event at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino/Hotel in Tama, Iowa Sunday.206 Players Entered HPT Iowa

Fish, of Cedar Rapid, Iowa, won the $1,650 buy-in event and its prize of $82,545. He outlasted 206 players that generated a prize pool of $297,804, which was a record for the HPT. Fish also won his way into the HPT's Tournament of Champions that will take place in Las Vegas at the end of this year.
