Jared ‘Theblez’ Bleznick and top high-stakes regular ‘GucciNIKE‘ continue to battle it out in $500-$1,000 with $200 ante pot-limit Omaha on CoinPoker. Their latest session saw GucciNIKE once again come out on top, though it was a small win by the standards of the stakes, “just” about $166,000.
Both players were able to win multiple six-figure pots during the session, with each player winning one huge all-in pot while deep-stacked.
Bleznick Gets Paid With Quads
Playing 171 big blinds deep, Bleznick opened to $3,000 on the button, and GucciNIKE three-bet to $9,000. Bleznick called.
The flop came 7♣5♦2♠, and GucciNIKE checked. Bleznick potted for $18,400, and GucciNIKE called. The turn was the 7♠, and Bleznick bet another $30,000. GucciNIKE called again, bringing a 7♦. This time, GucciNIKE came out betting, but very small, with $11,500. Bleznick jammed for $113,368, and GucciNIKE looked him up.
Bleznick showed Q♥J♥7♥4♣ for quads, and GucciNIKE mucked J♠10♠10♦2♦. Bleznick won the $341,946 pot.

Hand Analysis
These double-suited hands with a pair three-bet very often, so GucciNIKE’s aggressive preflop play is good.
On the flop, checking makes sense for GucciNIKE. They do block a pair, and hands with double backdoor flush draws are often aggressive. However, this texture favors the small blind quite a bit, and the deeper stacks mean playing out of position becomes more punishing. GucciNIKE also doesn’t have any cards that block straight draws. And the hand they’d most be looking to fold out, pocket jacks, is blocked by one of their own cards.
All of that adds up to checking being a bit better than betting.
Potting is an interesting decision from Bleznick. It makes more sense with a hand like top pair with a pocket pair, since these hands have very little playability on later streets. This hand is more middling, having more improvement potential.
GucciNIKE could just fold right away, but with two backdoor draws and a pair blocker, they don’t need to give up just yet.
Folding to the turn barrel would be prudent if GucciNIKE didn’t pick up a flush draw. However, with the added equity of that plus a draw to top full house, it’s good enough to see the river when their hand unblocks all of the straight draws.
The river is probably the best card in the deck for GucciNIKE aside from a ten. Bleznick will hardly ever have bigger full houses, so quads are the only real threat. In that sense, leading very small makes sense, as the out-of-position player almost always has a full house after calling two big bets. Against most players, folding to the shove is going to be good, so it just comes down to how aggressively GucciNIKE expects Bleznick to bluff.
Bleznick Bet-Calls Big Draw on Paired Board
With the players 239 blinds deep, GucciNIKE raised to $3,000, Bleznick raised to $9,000, and GucciNIKE four-bet to $27,000. Bleznick called.
Bleznick checked and called a small bet of $13,320 on the J♣J♦3♣ flop, and the turn was the 4♦. That prompted Bleznick to lead for $45,000. GucciNIKE jammed for $198,680, and Bleznick called.
GucciNIKE showed A♠A♦J♥5♠ for trips. Bleznick had a big draw with A♣K♦7♦6♣. They ran it twice, and neither the Q♥ nor the 3♥ improved Bleznick, sending the $478,400 pot to GucciNIKE.

Hand Analysis
Bleznick picks up a premium holding here, and three-betting and then calling a four-bet is normal even with an ace in hand. The hand has enough equity to continue, and being deep-stacked is helpful because this hand makes many strong straights and flushes.
On the flop, checking and calling a small bet is best, as Bleznick doesn’t want to raise and start chasing away lower draws.
Things go a bit off the rails on the turn, though. Bleznick bets an intermediate size, one that sets up a perfect river jam if called. However, the solver prefers a pot-or-check strategy here. The double-flush-draw hands that pot-call have a lot of pair blockers and blockers to low straight draws. Essentially, they block some of the small blind’s aces/wheel/flush draw holdings, weighting them more toward naked aces. Those naked aces have a tougher time continuing against aggression.
Bleznick is fortunate that both of his flush draws are live, giving him close to 40% equity. However, GucciNIKE’s trips hold for the biggest pot of the session.
