CoinPoker will make the Sunday CoinMillion a permanent monthly occurrence. Beginning on Aug. 9, the $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em event will carry a $1 million guaranteed prize pool on the first Sunday of every month.

Despite the recurring nature, this will be a two-day commitment for players. On Sunday, the field will play down to the final seven players. Then, officials will pause the tournament and the final seven will play down to a winner on Monday.
Players begin with 100,000 chips, equivalent to 200 big blinds, and navigate 10 minute levels. Late registration remains open until Level 19. CoinPoker typically runs a top-heavy payout structure. Previous winners netted more than 12% of the guarantee.
Satellites Galore
Players can enter directly for $215 or qualify through a satellite system. Direct satellites run daily with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $44. The platform also hosts Step 3 and Step 4 freerolls, allowing players to build their way to direct satellite tickets without an initial entry fee.
The decision to make the event monthly follows two previous editions that generated a combined 9,062 entries. The inaugural event ran on May 10 during the World Poker Masters, attracting 4,278 entrants. “DaniC1994” claimed the title and $126,500.
In the most recent CoinMillion on July 12, “monc” earned the money and the title. He secured $121,500 for his efforts.

monc topped an even larger field than what DaniC1994 conquered. During the Battle of Malta online series, monc topped a 4,784-entry field. He took home $121,500 for his efforts. During three-handed play, “JhonnieTsunami” tried to negotiate a chop, but couldn’t come to terms with the other two players.

The remaining players rejected the offer. JhonnieTsunami subsequently lost a preflop all in with pocket tens and was eliminated in third place.
Champions of the monthly event receive a physical trophy delivered after the tournament. CoinPoker also awards a digital trophy displayed in the platform’s Trophy Cabinet and adds the winner’s details to the CoinMillion Hall of Champions. The site recorded over 22,000 active players on Sunday, July 26.
