The April numbers are out for Delaware’s less-than-year-old online gambling industry.
The state’s three online gambling operators took in $240,496.04 during the calendar month, according to figures released this week by the Delaware Lottery.
Delaware Park netted $180,900.37, followed by Dover Downs with $48,553.31 and Harrington Raceway with $11,042.36.
The April numbers were an increase over March’s $206,833.42.
Delaware online gambling has been growing every month since it debuted last fall.
In April, Delaware web poker accounted for $74,078.01 of the $240,4946 in overall revenue. That figure was down from March’s online poker revenue of $84,391. In other words, poker represents an even smaller piece of the pie than it did before.
For comparison, Nevada’s online poker industry was $792,000 in April (a decrease). New Jersey had overall gambling revenue of $11.4 million in April (also a decrease), of which $2.6 million came from web poker. Just these three states have online gambling.
If one looks at it this way, Delaware’s online gambling industry is the only one of the three that hasn’t yet experienced a month-over-month decline.
