Caesars Entertainment it will be taking over operations of the Westgate Casino’s sportsbook in Las Vegas.

The “SuperBook” is one of the largest sports betting venues in the world and has been popular with bettors since opening in 1986. The venue’s SuperContest NFL handicapping contest debuted in the 1980s and has awarded millions of dollars through the years. The annual event would later inspire other properties to launch similar betting competitions.

Caesars now takes over operations of the book at the off-Strip casino made famous by Elvis Presley’s 636 consecutive sold-out shows at the property.

“The partnership brings together the SuperBook’s storied legacy and expansive footprint with Caesars Sportsbook’s platform and market-leading sports betting menu, creating a next-generation sports wagering experience,” the company said in a statement.

“Widely recognized as one of the largest and best sportsbook viewing experiences in the world, the Westgate SuperBook has long set the standard in Las Vegas for scale, atmosphere, and immersive sports viewing.”

SuperContest Remains, Additions Planned

Caesars’ transition should be complete by the start of the 2026 football season. The Nevada Gaming Commission still must approve the change.

Caesars plans to preserve the company’s identity, scale, and atmosphere, according to company officials. Most importantly, the company will continue the SuperContest, a pro football handicapping competition popular among sports bettors. The gaming giant also plans to add additional betting kiosks and wagering options.

“The Westgate SuperBook is one of the most recognizable sportsbook destinations in the world, and we are proud to partner with Westgate on the next chapter of its evolution,” Caesars Digital President Eric Hession said. “By powering the SuperBook with our sportsbook platform, we’re combining a legendary sportsbook environment with a modern betting menu and added convenience that reflects how sports fans want to wager today.”

Move Draws Negative Reaction From Bettors

The SuperBook was seen as one of the best sports betting operations in Las Vegas for many years. The transition to Caesars didn’t sit well with many fans. Many users on X/Twitter weren’t happy.

“Horrible news. The end of the best sportsbook in Vegas,” sportswriter and gambler Chris Bouchard posted.

Another added: “Who do you think is walking off Strip for (what will now be) the worst experience in Vegas?” One commenter simply posted: “Terrible news.”

Sources close to the situation have said the sportsbook doesn’t plan on changing any of its processes. Bettors can expect a similar experience as what they have become accustomed to at the property.

Betting contests have become popular with gamblers over the last few years, including the launch of the Circa Million in 2019 and Circa Survivor in 2020 from the Circa Las Vegas casino and sports wagering brand.

Poker players have fared well in these types of contests over the last few years. Card players dominated the 2025-26 Circa Survivor, which paid out $18.7 million. In 2021, poker pros David “ODB” Baker and Mark Gregorich won the SuperContest and finished second in the Circa Million.
