Artur Martirosian is now four-for-four when it comes to heads-up clashes in Triton Super High Roller Series events, and also boasts a win at the fledgling mid-stakes Triton One level. The tour’s reigning Ivan Leow Player of the Year award secured his fourth such high-roller victory at the 2026 Triton Jeju stop in South Korea, besting a field of 73 entries in the $50,000 pot-limit Omaha mystery bounty event to earn $494,000 plus $550,000 in bounties.
The 28-year-old Russian poker pro now has over $37.8 million in career cashes to his name after factoring in his $1,044,000 total haul from this triumph. Martirosian scored every knockout at the final table on his way to victory, converting a more than 2:1 heads-up chip advantage to keep up his perfect record.
“That’s sick,” Martirosian told Triton staff when the topic of his heads-up dominance on the tour was broached. “It’s insane, but I’ve played heads-up four times and four times won. So very good heads-up player.”
Indeed, two of his three World Series of Poker bracelets came in heads-up tournaments, including the 2023 WSOP Online $10,000 heads-up championship and the 2025 WSOP $25,000 heads-up championship.
While his prowess as a one-on-one player was already clear, his abilities in PLO are now starting to come into focus. This latest victory was his third Triton title won in the increasingly popular format. He took down a $25,000 PLO quattro bounty at the 2024 Monte Carlo stop and a standard $25,000 PLO event at this same venue, LES A Casino, last fall in Jeju. His Triton earnings now sit at more than $15.1 million.
Martirosian’s lone Triton One triumph also came in the four-card variant. He took down a $3,000 six-max PLO event just a few weeks before this latest win, earning $64,000 as the champion.
The Surge Begins
The total money up for grabs swelled to $3,650,000 in this high-stakes mystery bounty affair, with only a dozen players earning a share via the main prize pool. PLO heavyweights like Richard Gryko (12th), Laszlo Bujtas (11th), Daniel Dvoress (10th), Sean Rafael (9th), and Eelis Parssinen (8th) all bowed out inside the money.
Five-time Triton winner Matthias Eibinger held the chip lead when the field converged onto a single seven-handed table. Martirosian was the second shortest stack at that point, but he soon doubled through 12-time Triton champion Jason Koon to kick off his surge to the finish line. He then scored a double knockout, with J♠J♥9♠8♣ besting the K♠K♦J♣4♠ of David Wang (7th – $88,000) and the A♠K♥K♣3♦ of Cesar Garcia (6th – $611,000). The board came down 10♣7♣4♦3♣8♦ to give Martirosian the pot and the chip lead. Garcia’s two bounties turned out to be for $300,000 and $200,000, making his overall haul the second-largest of any player in this event.
Koon’s last stand came after a flop of A♠J♥2♥. He got all-in with A♦Q♦3♥3♠ facing the Q♥Q♣10♥9♦ of Martirosian. The 6♥ turn gave Martirosian a flush and a lock on the pot, rendering the river a mere formality. Koon earned $264,000 in total, including $125,000 in bounties.
Stephen Chidwick, who was at his first final table of the series, got the last of his stack into the middle after a flop of 9♠7♦5♣ with A♣9♦7♥4♣ for top two pair. He was up against A♥A♠Q♣4♥ for Martirosian. The overpair took the lead after the 5♠ rolled off on the turn. The Q♠ on the end made Chidwick’s elimination official. The British superstar earned $324,000 in total payouts, including $150,000 in bounties. The three-time Triton champion now has nearly $77.7 million in career cashes to his name, the second-most of any player in poker history. He trails only Bryn Kenney ($82 million) on the all-time money list.
Closing It Out
Martirosian’s unbroken streak of final-table knockouts continued when his A♠10♥5♣4♠ came up against the A♦J♥9♦6♥ of Seth Davies on a board of 10♦8♣3♣. The chips went in ahead of the 8♥ turn and 4♥ river, and Martirosian’s tens and eights with an ace kicker was sufficient to take the pot. Davies secured $351,000 in total payouts, with $125,000 from bounties. He now boasts over $46.7 million in lifetime earnings after this latest deep run.
It was 124 big blinds for Martirosian and 59 for Eibinger. The Austrian landed an early blow to nearly even things up, then overtook the lead. The tables soon turned again, though, with Martirosian making aces full versus the wheel for Eibinger to regain the advantage.
On the very next hand, Martirosian limped in for 100,000 from the button with K♦4♥3♠3♥ and Eibinger raised to 300,000 with A♥A♦8♦6♣. Martirosian came along to see a flop of 10♠6♥5♦. Eibinger bet 450,000 and received a call. The 3♦ turn was an action card, giving Eibinger the nut flush draw to go with his overpair while Martirosian spiked a set to go with his flopped straight draw. Eibinger check-called Martirosian’s 1,200,000 bet and the 9♣ completed the board. Another check from Eibinger led to a value shove from Martirosian with his bottom set. Eibinger went into the tank with his pair of aces but ultimately made the call to finish second. He walked away with $561,000 in total, including $225,000 from bounties.
He’s the Ivan Leow Player of the Year for a reason.
