Charity Series Of Poker Celebrates Success With Awards Dinner & Tournament

Event Features NOFX's "Fat Mike" Burkett, Actor Kane Voorhees, Actress Katie Morgan, And Slew Of Well-Known Poker Pros

As the Charity Series of Poker kicks off its 2026 season, the series celebrates its recent success with its fourth annual awards dinner and poker tournament.

The event kicks off on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the Via Brasil Steakhouse in Las Vegas. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 5:30 p.m., and the awards are handed out a half hour later. Then, cards get in the air at 7 p.m.

A $300 buy-in gets players an entry into the tournament, dinner, and access to the open bar. Rebuys and add-ons cost an additional $100. Proceeds from the event will help the CSOP fund future operations, including the purchase of poker tables, chips, computers, TVs, and other equipment the company uses to provide its beneficiaries with charity events free of charge.

The CSOP helped raise nearly $8 million for charities through the first 12 years of its operation. The funds from the upcoming event will help the company grow its reach in 2026.

“Seeing the way the poker community has gotten behind the Charity Series of Poker’s efforts to support so many nonprofits every year has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” said Founder and President of the CSOP Matt Stout. “I knew that poker players had generous hearts and would support great causes if there was a brand of events they trusted, but I underestimated how many charities, sponsors, and celebrities would jump at the chance to be a part of what we’ve created.”

Field Features Musicians, Actors, Actresses, And Poker Pros

A handful of celebrities will be mixing it up at the tables. Lead singer of the legendary punk rock band NOFX, “Fat Mike” Burkett, will be in attendance, as will actor Kane Voorhees and actress Katie Morgan.

Additionally, a slew of poker personalities will take their shot at a final table run. Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Tyler Patterson, and Card Player columnist Jonathan Little headline a group of poker pros gambling for a good cause. Industry professionals Matt Savage and Sean McCormack will also have a seat.

Jeff Platt, one of the voices of the World Series of Poker broadcasts, will emcee the event.

Stout will host a free poker lesson from 5:00-5:30 p.m. The series’ founder is an accomplished poker player with millions in earnings and a WSOP Circuit ring to his name.

For those not wanting to play cards, but want to support the organization, the event features a silent auction. Attendees can bid on prizes donated by event sponsors. Prizes range from Vegas Golden Knights tickets and memorabilia to golf rounds to a seat in a celebrity cash game.

For those that can’t make it in-person, they can still buy a ticket and bid on the items on the CSOP website.

Fourth Event Of 2026

The new year is barely six weeks old, but this will already be the fourth CSOP event of 2026. In February, Stout’s company ran a charity event for the Vegas Golden Chariots – Special Hockey.

In January, the CSOP ran events benefitting the Las Vegas Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and the Hospitality Charitable Foundation.

Looking forward, there are four more CSOP events on the docket after next week’s event.
