A new casino is set to open in Las Vegas, joining other openings in recent years like the Fontainebleau and Durango. Boyd Gaming announced that Cadence Crossing Casino will open in late March and offer 10,000 square feet of gaming space and 450 slots.
The property will be located in the southeast valley on Boulder Highway adjacent to fellow Boyd-owned Jokers Wild Casino. According to Boyd, the company may add additional gaming space and possibly a hotel during later construction phases.
“The adjacent community of Cadence is growing rapidly, with more than 1,200 homes sold in 2025 alone,” Boyd Gaming President and CEO Keith Smith said. “This is the third-best sales performance of any master-planned community in the country.”
Casino Won’t Have A Poker Room
After the property officially opens, Boyd will close Jokers Wild. Boyd isn’t expected to open a poker room in the new casino. Its website said the property will focus on slot machines and video poker.

The property will also feature dining and cocktail options. Boyd also owns 10 other Las Vegas casinos, including The Orleans, the Gold Coast, Main Street Station, the California, the Fremont, and others. The company also owns several other casinos around the country.
Sin City saw the $3.7 billion Fontainebleau open on the north end of the Strip in 2023. Station Casinos’$780 million Durango property opened the same year away from the Strip in the southwest Las Vegas valley. In contrast to those properties, Cadence Crossing will be a smaller operation catering to locals.
In other area casino news, North Las Vegas’ Poker Palace casino may be getting a new lease on life after a new owner purchased the property in August. Truckee Gaming bought the hotel-less casino and plans to renovate it.
In related Boyd Gaming news, the company sold its remaining shares in FanDuel to online gaming giant Flutter Entertainment in July for $1.76 billion. Boyd owned 5% of the sports betting operator prior to the sale back to FanDuel’s parent company.
