‘Giselle54’ and ‘GucciNIKE’ are back at it in the high-stakes pot-limit Omaha games on CoinPoker. These two titans have been battling for supremacy in the $500-$1,000 games with $200 ante, and the most recent round went Giselle54’s way.
Giselle54 managed to book a win of approximately $500,000 on Jan. 26. It was their second such session inside of a week, although GucciNIKE also had a win of approximately $500,000. Thus, the net recent result is about half a million in Giselle54’s favor.
GucciNIKE Goes With Aces in Deep-Stacked Spot
The players were 162 big blinds deep when GucciNIKE raised to $3,000, Giselle54 reraised to $9,000, and GucciNIKE four-bet to $27,000. Giselle54 called.
On the 9♥5♣2♣ flop, Giselle54 checked, and GucciNIKE potted. Giselle54 jammed for $135,150, and GucciNIKE called to create a pot of $324,701.
GucciNIKE showed A♥A♦6♦3♦ for aces and a gutshot, and Giselle54 had A♣K♦10♣2♠ for a pair and a flush draw. The players ran it twice. Giselle54 made trips on the first run as it came 2♦, Q♥. The second board ran 3♥, 10♠, good for two pair and a Giselle54 scoop.

Hand Analysis
Preflop, Giselle54 could call or three-bet. Nut-making possibilities are more important at deep stacks, and this combo has good potential there with the ace-high suit and the Broadway cards, but the 2 does drag it down a bit.
Once they face the four-bet, they have to call because there’s still so much money behind.
On the flop, GucciNIKE opts to pot and call it off on the low, semi-connected board. Generally speaking, aces with a nut gutshot is going to be a pretty good hand to stack off with, and it’s a no-brainer in a four-bet pot at 100 blinds deep or a bit deeper.
Once stacks get past 150 blinds, these plays become more dangerous. Running into a huge hand like a set, two pair with a flush draw, etc., starts to become much more mostly.
That will happen more often on textures that include higher cards, however, and GucciNIKE’s hand unblocks the most obvious draw on the board, the clubs.
GucciNIKE winds up getting it in with about 42% equity here, according to the Card Player Omaha calculator, and Giselle54 gets there on both runs.
Giselle54 Catches GucciNIKE Jamming Weaker Draw
GucciNIKE raised to $3,000 playing 110 blinds, and Giselle54 reraised to $9,000. GucciNIKE called.
The flop came J♥7♥2♦, and Giselle54 continued for $9,170. GucciNIKE raised small to $20,500, and Giselle54 potted to $79,840. GucciNIKE moved all in for $101,586, and Giselle54 called.
Giselle54 showed A♦K♥Q♥J♠, and GucciNIKE had Q♦10♥9♥8♣. GucciNIKE turned a straight with the 10♣ on the first run, but Giselle54 hit Broadway on the K♦ river. The second run went 2♣, J♦, so Giselle54 made trips. They scooped $221,572.

Hand Analysis
While Giselle54 has a similar hand to the prior one, this is a clearer three-bet since it’s more connected despite the lack of a nut suit. Even the tri-suited variations of A-K-Q-J do well in three-bet pots.
On the flop, Giselle54 has a good hand to continuation-bet. Having a J in their hand and two high hearts means they shouldn’t face many raises, and they have plenty of turn and river playability.
GucciNIKE opts for a small raise, which isn’t a standard play here. A wrap and a flush draw is usually a fine hand to stack off with, but a nine-card straight draw is the weakest wrap, and their flush draw is pretty weak as well. Furthermore, they don’t block any pairs, which increases the risk of running into dominating hands that will always shove.
It’s hard to be in terrible shape with GucciNIKE’s hand, but it also isn’t doing that well against the range that stacks off from Giselle54.
Facing the flop three-bet, GucciNIKE has too much equity to fold. In this instance, they had about 32% equity, which doesn’t sound terrible, but that’s pretty low by PLO standards. GucciNIKE gets punished again as Giselle54 scoops the double-board runout.
