No-limit hold’em nosebleed player ‘cardsforfun’ has returned to the highest-stakes tables at CoinPoker, and ‘Clickr’ battled them on Monday. The two played $1,000-$2,000 no-limit hold’em with a $400 ante, and Clickr continued their run as one of the most successful players on the site. Clickr collected a $350,000 win, as cardsforfun booked another sizable loss.
Clickr made full houses in the two biggest pots of the match. In each case, though, cardsforfun found themselves pumping the pot for their opponent.
Clickr Just Calls Aces Full
Playing about 80 blinds deep, Clickr raised to $4,400. Cardsforfun three-bet to $18,200. Clickr called.
Cardsforfun continued with $15,222 on the A♠J♠4♠ flop. Clickr called. The turn paired the board with the A♦, and Clickr called another barrel worth $33,772. On the 4♣, cardsforfun didn’t quite empty the clip, but they bet $67,544, most of their stack.
Clickr just called with A♠8♠, beating cardsforfun’s K♦2♦. Clickr won a pot worth $270,276.
Hand Analysis
Cardsforfun gets the hand kicked off with a three-bet that’s mostly going to be too wide. At 80 big blinds, the big blind should mix three-bets with a wide variety of hands, but only at a low frequency. If cardsforfun is three-betting this combo more than about than about 10%, they are overdoing it.
Once the flop comes monotone, the big blind should use a mostly polar betting strategy at this depth. Tournament players may be used to frequent small betting on these boards, but that’s not a good plan with deep stacks against players who won’t fold too often. The betting range centers around flushes, two pairs, and top pairs, with some random one-spade hands mixed in along with straight draws.
Thus, cardsforfun’s flop bet is too aggressive. Clickr has a straightforward call.
On the pairing turn, the small blind gains a lot of equity because they don’t have many weak hands at all after calling the sizable flop bet. There’s still some betting from the big blind, but K-2 with no flush blocker is way too wide.
With stacks likely to go in on the river if there’s another bet, the small blind should play only calls in this situation.
Despite a terrible card rolling off, cardsforfun decides to go for the triple barrel. This is a pretty wild play, because the small blind will have a ton of flushes and full houses when they reach the river after calling multiple sizable bets. Those hands probably won’t fold.
Clickr is supposed to shove all in, of course, but they may have decided that seeing cardsforfun’s hand was more important than the unlikely chance of winning the last $29K with a jam.

Clickr Picks Modest River Sizing, Gets Paid
In this hand, the players had full stacks of 100 blinds. Clickr raised to $4,500, and cardsforfun called.
On the 9♠4♠4♥ flop, Clickr continued for $2,900, and cardsforfun check-raised to $9,600. Clickr called. The turn was the J♥. Cardsforfun bet $14,450, and Clickr called. On the 3♠, cardsforfun slowed down with a check. Clickr fired $34,680.
Cardsforfun called, and Clickr showed 4♣3♥ for a rivered boat to scoop a $127,260 pot.

Hand Analysis
Clickr opens with the bottom of the button raising range. The very worst offsuit disconnected hands should fold, as should some of the low combos that contain a 2 or a 3.
The 9-4-4 texture is pretty neutral, but the in-position player can bet at a pretty high frequency for a small size. Clickr does so and faces a raise. Hands that have trips or better can mix in a few raises, but Clickr could also continue only by calling if they choose, which makes a flop strategy much simpler.
With a double-flush board on the turn, larger sizing is generally better for the big blind. Cardsforfun uses half pot, and Clickr decides to just call again. It’s much the same situation as the flop — Clickr could play some raises or play their entire continuing range as calls.
Clickr fills up on the river, and cardsforfun finally checks. The big question here is how Clickr should size on the river. Hands that contain a 4 are certainly worth overbetting. Full houses can go all in for a huge sizing.
However, it’s important to remember how cardsforfun was way too wide in a similar line earlier in the match. If they are check-raising a lot of garbage and barreling to the river, they are just going to show up with a pretty weak range here.
Therefore, a smaller bet might generate more value against this player. That’s what Clickr goes for, and they get paid off by an unknown holding.
