Ruben Visser from Holland has won the PokerStars European Poker Tour London main event lifting £595,000 for besting 646 opponents in the English capital yesterday.

“This feels completely awesome. I’m extremely happy," he said after his win. "I have been playing well in live tournaments in the last few years but now I just ran about £600,000 above expectation.”

Visser, who has over £1.7 million in live tournament winnings, did a three way deal before getting heads up with a 4:1 chip lead over Lithuanian Mantas Visockis. After two hours of heads up play the Dutchman caught an ace on the river to pair the one in his hand and bust Visockis and his pocket tens.

The final table payouts were:

1: Ruben Visser (Netherlands) — £595,000
2: Mantas Visockis (Lithuania) — £377,436,
3: Olof Hagland (Sweden) — £427,564
4: Theo Jorgensen (Denmark) — £183,000

6: Christopher Frank (Germany) — £112,000
