Joris Springael Leads the Way Heading into the Final 24 on Thursday -- Vivek Rajkumar also near the Top


Vivek Rajkumar holds over 1 Million Heading into Day 3Day 2 at the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star $10,000 no-limit hold’em main event ran late into the night in San Jose, California on Wednesday. The chip leader at the end of the day was Joris Springael with 1,477,000. Other notables at the top of the leader board include Vivek Rajkumar (1,076,000) and Dan Smith (703,000). Smith made his jump to the top of the standings at end of the night when he eliminated John Juanda in 25th place to bring play to a close for the evening.

On that final hand of the night Juanda was all in with K-9 on a 10-9-5-10-7 board, but Smith held pocket sevens, which gave him the victory with the set. Juanda joined some of the other largest names of the game who hit the rail on day 2, which included casualties such as Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu.
