Sam RazaviUK poker pro and recent Aussie Million finalist Sam Razavi has become the first player to complete the full Black Belt Poker grading system. He now joins Neil Channing and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Richard Ashby as a Black Belt at the site.

The former actor gets $10,000 per month in live tournament sponsorship from the site after his remarkable rise through the ranks which started in September 2010 when he opened an account at the site.

Razavi told the Black Belt Poker blog that he was, “…looking forward to investing my $10,000 monthly sponsorship on carefully choosing those tournaments that seem most likely to yield a return on investment, and preferably a healthy one, too. I’m confident about the year ahead; I have a few ideas and projects in the pipeline that I’m really excited about making happen.

The WSOP is going to be a great one this year, especially as my brother Eb is going to be there with me. I’m putting him into all the UKIPT’s and I’m confident he will have a result somewhere down the line. I’m hoping it will be Manchester, so he can fully cover his Vegas expenses himself!”
