Young Irish Pro Leads Way on Day 2 of Irish Winter Festival Main Event

Rory Rees BrennanThe PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Winter Festival is taking place this weekend at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin, and yesterday its main event, the Irish Masters, saw a total of 347 players turn out for day 1, creating a prize pool in excess of €500,000.

Of the 347, 105 qualified for the €1,650 buy-in event via PaddyPowerPoker.com meaning they are now competing to be the €20,000 Sole Survivor.

Day 2 of the main event kicks off at 2 p.m. today with 110 remaining players. Some well-known names not returning to the felt however are Neil Channing, Andy Black, and last year’s winner Michael O’Sullivan.
