General Manager Al Nelson, Casino Manager Craig Phillips, the management and staff of the Normandie Casino, and some creative promotions are continuing to make Gardena one of the hot spots for poker in California.
The current promotion at the Normandie is the Car-azy wheel. A lucky player from a lucky table is selected from the casino to spin the wheel every hour, every day. The prizes on the wheel are $50, $100, $200, $500, $1,000, and a brand-new car. Also, all players at the selected table are eligible for the grand prize final car giveaway on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3.
Poker jackpots have been a longtime staple of Gardena casinos, and the Normandie Casino has them in all of its poker games. To qualify for a jackpot, a player must lose with aces full of tens or better. Jackpots are available to all players 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are doubled eight hours a day during the week.
Jackpots are also offered in the Super-9 and blackjack games, as well. When a player gets three 7™ while playing blackjack, he wins the progressive jackpot. Super-9 players win the jackpot by having three 3™ in the bank.
For players who like to eat while they play, the Normandie offers a variety of entrees to please any appetite, including steaks, Chinese food, Korean food, Vietnamese food, and more – all prepared by world-class chef Lorenzo and his staff. The casino also offers a 99-cent players menu, featuring breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and available to all seated players 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Players will find a wide variety of action at the Normandie Casino, including $1-$2, $2-$4, $3-$6, $4-$8, and $6-$12 Texas hold'em and seven-card stud, $2-$4 and $3-$6 Omaha high-low split, and Mexican poker, all of which are spread. Higher-limit games in the VIP room include $10-$20, $15-$30, and $20-$40 Texas hold'em, seven-card stud, and lowball. Every Saturday at 3 p.m., a pot-limit hold'em game is spread. This game has a $50 buy-in and $1-$2 blinds.
Recently, players gathered in the Normandie Casino's 250-seat showroom to watch the Los Angeles Lakers win the NBA championship. Fans were treated to an appearance by the Lakers Girls and drink specials, and were able to watch the games on a 20-foot television screen. The showroom is located directly behind the Normandie Bar, which features Blackjack Margaritas, Red Dragons, and other exotic cocktails. The showroom/bar is the site for viewing Monday Night Football, boxing, and other major sporting events throughout the year.
The Normandie Casino has something for everyone – jackpots, car giveaways, great food, and big action. Stop in and see what it has for you.
