The $1,000,000 guaranteed $600 no-limit hold’em Midwest Championship at The Reserve Poker Club now boasts 821 entries through six starting flights, with five still to play.

Day 1F added of the Card Player Poker Tour event another 141 entries to that total, bringing the amount of money added to the prize pool so far up to $410,500.
A new chip leader has emerged in Richard Viebranz. Viebranz has more than $103,000 in prior recorded cashes, including a ninth-place finish in the 2023 MSPT Michigan State Poker Championship for $41,925. He finished day 1F with 1,745,000, which puts him ahead of day 1E’s Anthony Sheline (1,641,000) and Day 1B’s Kyle Janisse (1,615,000). Caryn Corsi (1,540,000), KC Vaughan (1,456,000) round on the top five who have punched their tickets to day 2, which will run on Sunday, Sept. 28.
Joseph Couden, a two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, is currently taking the sixth-largest stack into day 2. Couden has nearly $3.3 million in lifetime cashes under his belt, including a half dozen six-figure scores.
There were 14 players who bagged up on day 1F. There are now five people who have bagged at least twice, with Courtney Kennedy being the only player to triple bag so far.

Card Player Poker Tour Event Details
Players in the Midwest Championship will start with a 40,000-chip stack, but an additional 10,000 is available for a $20 dealer appreciation add-on. The tournament features a total of 11 starting flights between Sept. 18-27, with each of the first 10 kicking off at noon. There is also a last chance turbo flight 6 PM on Sept. 27, featuring the same structure, but with 15-minute levels.
For the other 10 starting flights, day 1 levels will be 30 minutes long. This event has unlimited re-entries and late registration available until the start of level 9. Players who survive the starting flight will be in the money at the start of day 2 and will play 40-minute levels for the remainder of the tournament.
Those hoping to earn their seat at a discount can try their hand at the $65 satellites running nightly from Sept. 17 to Sept. 26 at 6 PM. The satellites have a 30,000-chip starting stack and 15-minute levels. Late registration and re-entry are available until the start of level 11.
The Reserve, which is home to the only poker livestream studio in the Midwest, will broadcast featured tables on day 1 and 2, and the final table of nine on Sept. 29.
