Dylan Hortin Leads After Day 1A of 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10 Million Guaranteed Main Event

Only 184 Remain From The 295 Players Entered On The First Starting Day

The 11th-annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10,300 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event kicked off today at the Atlantis Paradise Island, with 295 players choosing to enter on day 1A and take their shot at part of the $10,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. At the end of the day only 184 remained, with American poker pro Dylan Hortin at the top of the leader board with 160,500 in chips.

“I was just able to make a lot of hands post flop and I think I played pretty well overall, just slowly built it up. I won a big flip with jacks against ace-king as well,” Hortin told Card Player after play ended. “I’ve played the PCA main event four times and I’ve never made day 2, so I really wanted to have a good showing this year and I’m very excited about the next few days.”

Actor Jason Alexander Horton was one of many notable poker pros who ended day 1A with solid chip stacks, with others including Joseph Cheong (127,800), recent EPT Prague finalist Max Silver (111,800), and Calvin Anderson (88,000).

There was also plenty of star-power in the field, with actress and WSOP bracelet winner Jennifer Tilly finishing the day with 77,000, while fellow celebrities Jason Alexander (of Seinfeld fame) and three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas failed to survive the day.

Other notable eliminations include 2013 PCA main event finalist Faraz Jaka, Vanessa Rousso, Phil Laak, Sorel Mizzi, Matt Giannetti and Adam Levy.
