A total of 80 players posted the €25,600 buy-in in the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe no-limit high roller event, building a prize pool of €1,920,000 ($2,645,568 USD). After two long days of high stakes action in the Casino Barriere Enghien les Bains in Paris, France, there are now only 13 players remaining to battle for the title, the WSOP gold bracelet and the first-place prize of €725,000 ($998,977 USD). The chip leader heading into the final day is German high roller super star Philipp Gruissem with 1,296,000 of the 6 million chips in play. When the fourth highest earning poker player in live tournament history, with more than $18.3 million in live cashes, thinks the field is tough, it probably is. The numbers confirm Negreanu’s assertion, with the remaining 13 players combining for more than $63.4 million dollars in collective live tournament earnings.
