Nicola Sasso Wins Italian Poker Tour Main Event

Sanremo Grand Final Main Event Attracts 428 Players


Nicola Sasso has won the PokerStars Italian Poker Tour Sanremo Grand Final main event taking down €185,000 for his win.

The Italian bested 427 opponents in the €2,000 + €200 buy in main event including American David Peters heads up.

Sasso had around two million in chips more than Peters but they reached an agreement to set aside €155,000 each and played on for €30,000.

The final hand saw Sasso go all in with a significant chip lead holding A-10 while Peters called with A-2. A 10 on the flop sealed the deal for Sasso who became the latest Italian Poker Tour champion.

5: Jeremie Sarda — €41,500
