Swedish poker pro Viktor “Isildur1” Blom has started off 2013 on a huge heater, winning about $1 million in just a handful of days since the New Year, according to data from HighstakesDB.
He is also the biggest winner since Full Tilt Poker came back in early November.
Most of Blom’s success has been at limit deuce-to-seven triple draw and limit Omaha eight-or-better. One of his most successful sessions over the past few days was at deuce-to-seven against Scott “mastrblastr” Seiver. When the two quit yesterday, Blom was in the black big.
While Blom is on the upswing, his Full Tilt Poker co-worker Gus Hansen continues to plummet. He has lost another six figures since Jan. 1, 2013 and currently sits with more than $3.3 million in losses since regaining access to his Full Tilt account in early November.
Hansen has had a hard time finding traction in the game of Omaha.
Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky, last year’s most profitable player across all sites, has started 2013 with some small wins. He’s up about $50,000 so far in less than 10 sessions.
Sulsky is a 25-year-old New Hampshire native.
Along with Blom and Sulsky, Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene has a small upswing going in the early stages of 2013. Tollerene was another big winner from last year.
