CBAC Gaming, an affiliate of Caesars Entertainment, has been awarded a casino license for a proposed property in downtown Baltimore.
The property, which will be named Harrah’s Baltimore and will feature 3,750 slot machines, is scheduled to open sometime in 2014.
The proposed casino is the fifth property to be awarded a license in Maryland. Other locations include Arundel Mills, Perryville, Ocean Downs and a planned slot parlor at Rocky Gap.
The Maryland General Assembly will meet Aug. 9 to determine whether a sixth casino will be built in Prince George County.
The special session will also determine whether the legislature will allow casinos in the state to expand gambling to include blackjack, craps and roulette, among other table games.
