The second stop of the third season of the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour kicks off at the Dusk Till Dawn club in Nottingham today with day 1A of the £700 + £70 buy-in main event.
The main event, which this season features a £1 million guarantee, has three starting days and runs until Apr. 16 when a champion will be marked down in the poker history books.
Players sit down at noon (local time) on day 1A, 1B, and 1C to a starting stack of 15,000 in chips and 60-minute levels.
Last year, the main event saw a £500 buy-in with £200,000 guaranteed and attracted 1,058 players. Gareth Walker topped the field for a £109,000 first-place prize.
