Antonin Teisseire has won the $5,000 no-limit hold’em triple chance, becoming the fourth French champion at the 2011 World Series of Poker. The 45-year-old poker pro beat out a stacked field of 817 players on Saturday afternoon to capture his first bracelet and $825,000 in prize money.
Remarkably, Teisseire secured the victory in what was his first cash ever at the WSOP. His first deep run at the Rio was a tough one, as he had to beat out a final table that included Adam Geyer, Vanessa Peng, eventual runner-up Darryl Ronconi, and Eric Froehlich, who suffered another tough end to a deep run in a Series event this summer.

Jim Routos Eliminated in 9th Place ($61,899)
Antonin Teisseire opened for 70,000 before the flop, Jim Routos reraised to 175,000, Narendra Banwari four-bet to 400,000 from the big blind, Teiseirre folded, Routos moved all in for 1,000,000 and Banwari called.

Mikhail Yakovlev Eliminated in 7th Place ($102,870)
Mikhail Yakovlev open-shoved the short stack for 190,000 before the flop and Vanesa Peng called from the big blind.

The board came A 10 3 2 6, giving Peng top pair on the flop to win the pot. Mikhail Yakovlev was eliminated in 7th place ($102,870).
Narendra Banwari Eliminated in 6th Place ($179,054)
Adam Geyer open-shoved the small blind before the flop and Narendra Banwari called call in for about 1.1 million from the big blind.

The board came Q 3 2 5 9, giving Banwari a set on the flop to take the lead, but Geyer spiked a third five on the river to make a better set and win the pot. Narendra Banwari was eliminated in 5th place ($179,054).
Vanessa Peng Eliminated in 5th Place ($134,895)

Eric Froehlich Eliminated in 4th Place ($240,876)
Antonin Teisseire raised from under the gun before the flop, Eric Froehlich three-bet all in for about 2,000,000 from the big blind and Teisseire called.

The board came K 5 4 6 9, giving Teisseire top pair on the flop to win the pot. Eric Froehlich was the first one eliminated this afternoon in 4th place ($240,876).
Adam Geyer Eliminated in 3rd Place ($328,810)
Adam Geyer started the unscheduled fourth day of this event as the chip leader, but quickly lost most of his chips early in the first level after Darryl Ronconi flopped a set to double through Geyer and take the chip lead for himself with just about 6.3 million.
Geyer managed to score a small double up before eventually getting the rest of his chip in the pot before the flop with K 7 against Antonin Teisseire’s
A 9.
The board came J 4 2 3 9, giving Teisseire a pair on the river to win the pot. Adam Geyer was eliminated in 3rd place ($328,810).
With the elimination of Adam Geyer in 3rd place, Darryl Ronconi took the chip lead into heads-up play with 6.3 million to Antonin Teisseire’s 6 million.
Darryl Ronconi Eliminated in 2nd Place ($510,053)
Adam Geyer Started the day as the chip leader, but Darryl Ronconi doubled through Geyer early in the day, taking the chip lead for himself and leaving Geyer on the short stack. Although it was Ronconi that took the early lead here on Day 4, it was Antonin Teisseire that began the day as the aggressor, busting Eric Froehlich in fourth place and then Geyer in 3rd, nearly evening the stacks heading into heads-up play.
Ronconi began the final match with roughly 6.3 million to Teisseire’s 6 million, but Teisseire quickly took the lead and never looked back. On the final hand of the tournament, Darryl Ronconi open-shoved before the flop from the button and Antonin Teisseire called from the big blind.

The board came Q 10 3 2 9, giving Teisseire a flush on the river to win the pot.
Darrly Ronconi was eliminated in 2nd place ($510,053) while Antonin Teisseire wins the gold bracelet in Event #50 and the $825,604 grand prize.
