A strong local and international field is expected for the eighth annual Irish Poker Classic taking place at the Macau Sporting Club, Cork, Ireland next week from August 16 to 22, 2010.
The €1,000 + €100 buy in main event has a €100,000 guaranteed prize pool and takes place from August 19 to 22.
The schedule for the festival also includes a number of no-limit hold’em events with buy-ins ranging form €20 to €400 as well as a €350 + €35 pot-limit Omaha game.
Last year the festival was voted Best Poker Tournament at the Irish Sports Betting Awards and the main event was won by Peter “Knuckles” Higgins.
