This week, much of the high stakes shenanigans were driven by the Great Dane himself, Gus Hansen. Playing $500-$1,000 pot-limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker, Hansen took on the likes of Di "Urindanger" Dang, David Benyamine, and Tom "durrrr" Dwan over the course of a 24-hour stretch and came out on top for a total of $1.915 million.
Hansen Scorches Di "Urindanger" Dang For $833,000 Win
The action began in the early hours of the morning on April 25, when Hansen and Dang sat down at three virtual tables for some heads-up pot-limit Omaha. The two played nearly 1,100 hands throughout the day, and it was Hansen who won nearly every big confrontation, taking down eight of the 10 six-figure pots, the biggest of which is recapped below.

The turn was the A, and Dang bet $45,600. After thinking it over, Hansen made the call, and the river was the A
. That froze the action, and both players checked. Dang showed 9 7
6 5 for a missed wrap draw that made two pair, aces and fives. Hansen then revealed K Q 10 8 for a higher two pair, aces and eights.
In total, Hansen took about $833,000 from Dang, most of which came from the earlier 6.5 hour session. Dang tried to recoup some losses later in the day, but Hansen just added to his winnings.
Hansen Picks Up $186,000 From David "MR B 2 U SON" Benyamine
In a much smaller, 266-hand session, Hansen faced off with David Benyamine in a two-table showdown. The two played for about an hour, and although Hansen once again came out victorious, the win was a much more reasonable $186,000.
In by far the biggest hand of their session, Benyamine raised to $3,000 on the button, and Hansen reraised to $9,000. Benyamine made the call, and then called an $11,000 bet by Hansen on a flop of K Q J.
When the 5 hit the turn, Hansen bet $40,000, and once again Benyamine made the call. The river paired the board with the K, and Hansen moved all in for his last $38,000. Benyamine called, and Hansen turned over K Q J 9 for kings full. Benyamine’s hand wasn’t shown, and Hansen dragged in the $196,000 pot.
Hansen Crushes Tom "durrrr" Dwan For $895,000
After picking up more than $1 million from Dang and Benyamine, it was safe to say that Hansen was having a pretty good day. But the Dane wasn’t finished, taking on Tom Dwan in the late hours of the night in a three-table match.
Over the course of six hours, Hansen earned $895,000 from the young pro, bringing his grand total for the day to $1.915 million. In his match with Dwan, Hansen took down the five largest pots of the session, including one for $222,000.
Hansen opened with a raise to $3,000 on the button, and Dwan called. The flop came K J 3, and Dwan bet $4,800. Hansen decided just to call, and the turn was the 10. Dwan then bet $12,200, and Hansen called once again.
The river was the 9, and Dwan checked. Hansen bet $31,000, and Dwan check-raised to $133,000. Hansen called all in for his last $60,000, and Dwan turned over J 10 7 7 for two pair, jacks and tens. Hansen revealed A Q 7 4 for the Broadway straight, however, and picked up the pot.
