Top Five Don't Move, Gboro780 Remains on Top

Mohsin 'chicagocards1' CharaniaThis week, one player shot up the rankings in Card Player’s Online Player of the Year race and another came out of nowhere to join the rest of the top 10.

Steve "gboro780" Gross held on to the top spot again this week, and despite not gaining any qualifying points still has a 122-point lead on second-place resident Chris "Moorman1" Moorman.

Moorman and Adam "Roothlus" Levy, who sits in third place, didn’t move at all this week, either, and failed to pick up any points.

Mohsin "chicagocards1" Charania (pictured above right) spent the week putting in less volume online to concentrate on the Bay 101 Shooting Star event in San Jose. Charania finished in 27th place and earned $20,000 for his live performance but also failed to move up or down in the online rankings.

The same goes for Adam "csimmsux" Geyer, who had a quiet week after taking down the Nightly Hundred Grand 11 days ago.

Aditya 'Intervention' AgarwalWhile the previous top five failed to make any noise, last week’s 10th-place inhabitant, Aditya "Intervention" Agarwal (pictured left), moved into a tie for fifth place by taking down the $100 turbo no-limit hold’em tournament with one rebuy/one add-on. The win was good for $25,061 and earned him 480 points.

Despite earning a fourth-place finish in a daily $100 with rebuys tournament, Jonathan "xxjondxx" Delong failed to move up in the rankings, keeping himself firmly planted in seventh place. The score did add $10,424 to his winnings for the year, putting his total at $221,034.

Dan "Wretchy" Martin had a quiet week and dropped two spots to eighth place as a result. Scott "stpauli111" Hall picked up 36 points for a cash in the $200,000 guarantee with rebuys, but that wasn’t enough to stop him from dropping one spot to ninth place.

The newcomer to the top ten is Joe "ender555" Ebanks, who finished second in the $100,000 guarantee with rebuys for $25,622. Ebanks has 12 final tables on the year and has earned $206,129 in OPOY qualifying events.

David "WhooooKidd" Baker dropped out of the top 10 into 11th place, and he is followed closely behind by Shaun Deeb in 12th.

Here is a look at the leader board.
