The Thanksgiving holiday weekend gave all of the major sites a bit of a boost in traffic but couldn’t help a few tournaments from missing their guarantees. The live tournament action began to heat up at Bellagio, but most of the online community opted to stay in and grind in front of their laptops.
Card Player would like to give a special congratulations to former Card Player World Series of Poker tournament reporter Jameson "The Drake" Singer, who finished fourth in Full Tilt’s Sunday Mulligan. While that final table alone is enough of an accomplishment to warrant a mention, Singer went one step further by simultaneously winning both Big Doubles the night before and picking up nearly $20,000 in bonuses as a result.
Interestingly enough, the Sunday Mulligan featured last week’s winner, as well. Online player drunk mashimaro won the Nov. 23 tournament and nearly went back-to-back with a victory this week, as well. Ultimately, he fell just short after busting heads up to John "SkewpTroop" Clancy.
Over at PokerStars, tournament pro Matt "All_in_at420" Stout bested a field of 306 en route to the $200 rebuy title. He pocketed nearly $45,000 for topping one of the toughest fields of the week.
