The Asian Poker Tour Macau event at the Galaxy StarWorld Casino ended this weekend with 20-year-old U.S. player Yevgeniy Timoshenko, who plays as “Jovial Gent” online, as the champion. He defeated a field of 257 players, which was short of the entrants needed to create the guaranteed $1.5 million prize pool. After the APT made up for the overlay, Timoshenko’s share was $500,000.
Joon Hee Yeah of South Korea was the second-place finisher. He received $250,000 for his efforts. The following are the final table payouts:
