H.O.R.S.E. Date Changes at World Series of Poker 2008

WSOP Schedule Changes To Accomodate Television Coverage


It was announced today that two changes have been made to the 2008 World Series of Poker schedule to enable comprehensive coverage by ESPN for the $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. World Championship.

The biggest buy-in tournament of the series of was originally scheduled for Sunday, June 22 at noon but will now begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25. It is switching places with the $2,500 buy-in deuce-to-seven triple-draw lowball event which has been changed to begin on Sunday, June 22 at noon.

The 2008 WSOP will run from May 30-July 16. Fifty-five bracelets will be awarded during the series including the $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em World Championship that begins July 3. ESPN will begin airing coverage of the 39th edition of the WSOP in July.
