The San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino only recently announced its Annie Duke $100,000 Hold'em Poker Tournament promotion, which began qualifying players on Sept. 24, and all 1,000 seats have already been filled.
Players had to accumulate six dream-catcher stamps on a tournament qualifying card. A stamp was given for every full-house or better in hold'em and jacks-full or better in Omaha. Perhaps attracted by the free money given away, or by the chance to meet World Series of Poker-bracelet winner Annie Duke, thousands of players from all over Southern California came to try to qualify.
Those who were lucky enough to qualify will play in the freeroll tournament on Oct. 25 in the Yuhaviatam room, where Duke will make an appearance from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
