Action Begins, Final Table Now Underway

The final table of Event no. 46 ($2,500 No-Limit Hold’em) is now underway, and Card Player will be posting level-by-level updates with all of the action, current chip counts, and prize distributions.

Day 3 began with 25 players spread out over 3 tables, and with the elimination of William Reynolds in 10th Place ($38,716), the final table is now set. Play will begin in Level 25 with blinds of 12,000-24,000 with a 4,000 ante, and will continue until a winner is determined.

With cards now back in the air, here is a look at the final table and how these players match up:

Reynolds then reraises all-in for 95,900. Partners and girlfriends gather around as decisions are made. The player in late position calls and the button folds showing pocket sixes. Gallardo has pocket jacks, Reynolds has pocket tens, and the player in late position has A Q.

The board comes K 4 2 6 K and Gallardo wins with his jacks. The player who folded 6-6 gets a hug from his partner, A-Q takes a hit but is still quite well stacked, and Reynolds wins the side pot.

The young American shoves in the very next hand for 135,000. Dragan Galic is next to act, both he and Ovidiu Balaj call. The flop is 10 3 2 and Galic bets 150,000 while staring at Balaj. Balaj looks him in the eye and after two minutes he folds showing his hand (which we don't have the privilege of seeing).

Alexander Fitzgerald Eliminated in Seventh Place (€171,000)

Alexander Fitzgerald (pictured right) pushes all-in and William Reynolds calls. Fitzgerald shows A K and Reynolds shows pocket jacks. The board comes 10 6 2 8 2 and Reynolds wins 1,280,000. Fitzgerald is left with less than three big blinds.

The young American shoves in the very next hand for 135,000. Dragan Galic is next to act, both he and Ovidiu Balaj call. The flop is 10 3 2 and Galic bets 150,000 while staring at Balaj. Balaj looks him in the eye and after two minutes he folds showing his hand (which we don't have the privilege of seeing).
