Card Player Poker Tour Returns to Florida at Palm Beach Kennel Club This December
Palm Beach Kennel Club is the Largest Multi-Table Poker Room in the State of Florida
The Card Player Poker Tour will return to Florida for stop no. 2 on Season II, this time hitting Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach, Florida for a tournament series set to take place Dec. 5-16.
The 9-tournament series will be highlighted by the $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event to be held Dec. 13-16. The series will begin with a $345 no-limit hold’em $100,000 guarantee tournament on Dec. 5 and conclude with a $125 no-limit hold’em with bounties tournament to begin Dec. 15. Satellites to the main event will also be offered with buy-ins ranging from $65 to $220.
The card room chose offer the main event at a slightly cheaper buy-in to accommodate more players.
“We felt the price point is great for this market and will let someone who maybe typically plays a little smaller play as well,” said Poker Room Director Noah Carbone.
Palm Beach Kennel Club is one of the largest poker rooms in the state of Florida with 64 tables. The property also hosts thrilling live greyhound racing and broadcasts exciting simulcast horse racing. Players and visitors can also choose from two restaurants for an exceptional dining experience.
The Paddock Restaurant offers a unique combination of fine dining and entertainment where patrons will find an expansive dining room featuring a view of the racing action. The restaurant has been recently renovated and diners will be served meals that have each been cooked to order and made from the best quality foods. Table top televisions are available in addition to overhead monitors and large screen televisions.
The Terrace Restaurant is located near the race tracks second floor and offers sit-down, full-service dining at the finish line with air-conditioned comfort. For diners looking for a lighter fare, the property also offers a deli and concession stand snacks as well as fully-stocked bars.
The property is located near Palm Beach International Airport for easy access for players coming from afar.
The first stop of Season II of the CPPT wrapped up Sept. 9 at bestbet in Jacksonville, Florida with Harvey Vandeven winning the $1,500 no-limit hold’em $300,000 guarantee main event.
After Palm Beack Kennel Club the tour will head to Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut in February of 2014 and then to Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada in March.
