Jesper Hougaard Bio

Jesper Hougaard, from Copenhagen, Denmark is a professional poker player. Before poker, though, there was table tennis. Hougaard played and then later coached for the Danish National Table Tennis Team.

Inspired by fellow Dane Gus Hansen, Hougaard began playing poker. He really caught on fire at the 2008 World Series of Poker. He cashed in two events before winning his first bracelet in a $1,500 no-limit hold'em event. Hougaard received more than $610,000 for that win.

Hougaard won his second gold bracelet when he won a £1,500 no-limit hold'em event at the 2008 WSOP Europe in London.
