Freddy Deeb Bio

Freddy Deeb was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Since moving to the United States at the age of 19, he started school and nearly graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. Deeb began gambling and found that he could make a living playing poker. He won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the 1996 $5,000 buy-in deuce-to-seven draw event. Deeb has cashed in more than 70 major tournaments, and recently won one of the most prestigious events in poker.

At the 2007 WSOP, Deeb beat 148 of the toughest players in the game to take down the coveted $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event. He won nearly $2.3 million along with his second bracelet. Deeb went after a World Poker Tour title and made the final table of the 2008 World Poker Open. He fell just short and finished fourth for almost $170,000. In 2009, Deeb pocketed $100,000 for winning the L.A. Poker Classic Invitational. Also a big cash game player, Deeb has been featured on GSN's High Stakes Poker.
