In 2008, Gus Hansen published Ever Hand Revealed, a book where he detailed his thought process in every hand he played en route to his 2007 Aussie Millions title.
PokerGO couldn’t provide his thought process, but they released a similar video about Michael Mizrachi.
Mizrachi made quick work of the final table and won the 2025 World Series of Poker main event. As a result, he won his eighth WSOP bracelet and $10 million.
Last week, PokerGO, the company that broadcast the event, released a video detailing every hand Mizrachi played on the main event broadcast.
“From early chip-ups to the final hand, this is the complete journey of one of the greatest performances in poker history,” PokerGO notes of the video documenting Mizrachi’s victory.
Mizrachi Cracks Umerova’s Big Slick
One hand saw Mizrachi on the big blind and facing a raise to 22,000 from Safiya Umerova with blinds at 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante. Umerova held A♠K♠ while Mizrachi called with 7♥6♦.
Umerova was a 64% favorite to win the hand, according to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator.
Then, the flop was 7♦6♠3♣ to give Mizrachi top two pair. Both players checked and the K♥ came on the turn. Umerova checked and Mizrachi gave the “thumbs up” to signal he was raising, adding another 44,000 to make the bet 69,000.
“You’ve got no outs,” he said, although she could still catch another king or an ace to win the hand.
Umerova thought a bit before calling, bringing the pot to 197,000. Mizrachi was an 82% favorite to win at this point. The 5♦ hit on the river and Mizrachi fired 55,000. She eventually called and he raked a 307,000-chip pot.
Ace On The River Keeps Mizrachi Alive
Many poker fans certainly remember another key hand at the final table that helped catapult Mizrachi to a massive chip lead. With seven players remaining, Braxton Dunaway raised to 3,000,000 with Q♦9♣ with blinds at 1,000,000/2,000,000 and a 2,000,000 big blind ante.
John Wasnock three-bet to 10,000,000 with K♠K♣ with 172,000,000 in front of him. Mizrachi looked at A♠K♦ and four-bet 30,000,000 of his last 71,000,000 after giving the crowd the thumbs up indicating that the price of poker was going up.
“He’s going to go all in and he’s going to be in terrible shape,” commentator Brent Hanks noted.
Dunaway ended up folding and Wasnock thought a while before announcing all in. That elicited an immediate call from Mizrachi. Wasnock was a 70% favorite and Mizrachi only had two aces left in the deck to help him as the Ah had been folded already. He would either take the chip lead or be out in seventh place.
The flop brought J♠9♥7♦, reducing Mizrachi’s chances to 14%. The turn brought some help with the Q♣. He could now make a Broadway straight with a 10. However, only one 10 was still in the deck as three were folded.
With just three outs remaining to win the hand, the A♦ fell on the river and those in attendance erupted as Mizrachi raised his hands in the air and jumped in excitement, followed by high-fives with those on his rail. The hand gave him a sizable chip lead and he went on a tear at the final table to take an epic win. Watch the complete video below.
A Hall Of Fame Victory
The Florida poker pro topped a field of 9,735 to take home $10 million and his eighth bracelet. He earned a special immediate induction into the Poker Hall of Fame after also winning the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for a record fourth time earlier in the series for $1.3 million.
Wasnock, an investment consultant from North Bend, Washington, finished runner-up for $6 million. Dunaway, who works in oil and gas sales and lives in Midland, Texas, went out in third for $4 million.
