Two no-limit hold’em events came to a close on July 4, 2025 at the World Series of Poker. While fireworks were going off outside of the Horseshoe Las Vegas, the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship and the $800 Summer Celebration both crowned their champions.
2025 WSOP $600 No-Limit Hold’em PokerNews Deepstack Championship
The first to finish was the $600 buy-in event. The tournament had drawn 5,667 total entries, resulting in a final prize pool of $2,856,168. The bubble burst back on day 1, with the top 851 finishers all cashing for at least double the buy-in.
The event had 50 seats awarded to players based on their performance in the $200, $250, and $400 buy-in daily deepstack events run at the WSOP. The top 10 players from the weekly leaderboard for those events all earned a free seat through the first five weeks of the 2025 WSOP.
Among those who ran deep in the event were bracelet winners Ryan Depaulo (94th), Anthony Denove (77th), and Aditya Sushant (9th).
In the end, it was Nick Ahmadi who took down the bracelet for this event.

“I guess it’s just like validation for the years and hours that I put into the game,” Ahmadi told PokerNews live reporters. “It hasn’t been easy, but just pushing through the downswings and the tough times, it all just makes it worth it. It means a lot to me.”
The American player earned $302,165 from the prize pool to go with the hardware. This was by far his largest live tournament score yet.
