A Look At The Latest Results From The 2025 WSOPO Festival

The 2025 World Series of Poker Online  is about to enter the back half of its 30-event schedule, which is available for players located in Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Card Player has already posted a review of the first nine bracelet winners earlier this month, as well as a story covering Adrian Mateos’ victory in event no. 11 that saw him secure his fifth gold bracelet.

This article will take a look at the latest crops of players that came out on top in this year’s WSOPO, including big breakthroughs from a couple of high-ranking former members of the dreaded best-without-a-bracelet list.

World Poker Tour champion Matthew Wantman came within one spot of earning his first bracelet on June 17, finishing as the runner-up in the $3,000 no-limit hold’em six-max event that was won by Tyler Patterson.

Wantman didn’t have to wait long for a shot at redemption, though. Just a few days later he made it down to the final two in the $600 no-limit hold’em Monster Stack event online event. The player that was standing between Wantman and the hardware was none other than six-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb. Wantman was able to close out the win this time around, earning $125,131 and his first bracelet as the champion.

Deeb settled for $90,776 as the runner-up. Other notables who ran deep in this event included bracelet winner Maria Konnikova (184th), three-time bracelet winner James Collopy (178th – $1,343), high-stakes regular Brock Wilson (154th – $1,343), bracelet winner Cherish Andrews (111th – $1,631), two-time bracelet winner Brek Schutten (83rd – $1,823), two-time bracelet winner Jesse Lonis (53rd – $2,207), and two-time WPT champion Kevin Eyster (4th).

2025 WSOP Online $500 No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty $1 Million GTD

The conclusion of the $500 no-limit hold’em mystery bounty event meant that a baker’s dozen worth of online bracelet events had concluded. Unfortunately, only a standard dozen were completed, as event no. 7 was canceled on day 2 due to technical issues.

The winner of the $1 million guaranteed mystery bounty was Matthew Baker. He earned $109,720 from the main prize pool and his first gold bracelet.  This was a new top score for Baker, besting the $40,000 he secured this spring with a third-place finish in a $1,100 buy-in event at One-Eyed Jacks Spring Fling series in Sarasota, Florida.

2021 WSOP main event sixth-place finisher Hye Park earned $55,900 for a podium showing in this event. He was joined by plenty of big names in making it deep, including the likes of two-time bracelet winner Jesse Lonis (165th), recent online bracelet winner Jonathan Little  (155th), 2022 WSOP ladies championship winner Jessica Teusl (11th), bracelet winner Scott Eskenazi (83rd), and three-time bracelet winner Upeshka De Silva (53rd).

2025 WSOP Online $888 No-Limit Hold’em

Darren Elias finally wins his first WSOP gold bracelet.

Less than two weeks after losing a marathon eight-hour heads-up match against Nick Schulman in the $10,000 deuce-to-seven lowball championship, Darren Elias navigated his way to victory in the $888 no-limit hold’em ‘Crazy 8’s’ event, earning his first bracelet and $170,208.

Elias has long been a top tournament player on the scene, and indeed holds the record for the most WPT main event titles with four wins on that tour. Prior to this win, though, he had never been able to secure a victory at the series. Before his runner-up showing in the no-limit deuce championship, he had finished third in the same event two times in previous years. He also finished third in a $25,000 high roller in 2023, fourth in the $3,000 six-max in 2022 for a few more close calls, and fifth in a $500 turbo online event in 2021 for a few more close calls. He has now made 13 total WSOP final tables.

Plenty of highly accomplished pros were still in near the business end of this event, such as three-time bracelet winner Ryan Leng (128th), 2020 WSOP Online main event champion Stoyan Madanzhiev (98th), two-time bracelet winner Scott Ball (51st), bracelet winner Andy Bloch (39th), two-time bracelet winner Brek Schutten (27th), Manig Loeser (20th), two-time bracelet winner Martin Zamani (19th), and Landon Tice (6th).
