Hustler Casino Live was the site of one of the most brutal slow rolls in recent streamed poker history. Nikhil Arcot slow rolled Martin Kabrhel in a pot worth north of $400,000.
The game featured blinds of $100-$200 with a mandatory $400 straddle. Action folded to “Jeff The Cash” on the button, who raised to $3,000 with J♥9♣. Arcot was in the small blind and three-bet to $15,000 with A♦3♦.
Kabrhel was in the straddle and immediately inquired about Arcot’s stack as he considered his options with Q♦9♦. Kabrhel called and the original raiser folded. Arcot and Kabrhel were heads-up to a flop and playing for Arcot’s remaining $178,900.
According to the Card Player poker odds calculator, Arcot was almost a 51% favorite to win the hand.
Arcot’s odds were significantly higher when the flop was K♦J♦8♦. Arcot’s odds jumped to 96% after he flopped the nut flush. Kabrhel flopped the second nut flush, and could only win the pot if he hit the 10♦ for a straight flush.
Arcot bet $8,000 and Kabrhel called. The turn was the K♥ and Arcot checked. Kabrhel bet $32,000 and Arcot called, swelling the pot to $113,800.
The river was the Q♠ and Arcot checked again. Kabrhel stacked his chips and eventually moved all in. Arcot shook his head a bit as he considered calling, possibly worried that his opponent may have a full house.
“Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes”
However, it didn’t take him long to put the chips in, all in for $143,900. On the other hand, it did take him quite a while to reveal his hand. The move brought a bit of derision from others at the table, as the dealer counted chips. Arcott eventually raked a pot of $401,600.
“Sorry, I thought I just had ace-high,” said Arcot as he collected the pot. “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”
An opponent can be heard calling the slow roll “savage.” Arcot responded that Kabrhel said he liked slow rolls.
“I like doing it, not getting them,” said Kabrhel.
Despite winning the huge pot, Acrot said things had not gone well and that he was still “buried.” You can watch the complete hand in the clip below.
