Kyle Janisse on day 1B
Day 1B of the $1,000,000 guaranteed $600 no-limit hold’em Midwest Championship at The Reserve Poker Club attracted a total of 124 entries. That brings the total entries through the first two flights to 256 entries, with 132 turning out for Day 1A. There has already been $128,000 added to the prize pool, with that number set to surge in the coming days.
The Card Player Poker Tour event is running from Sept. 18-28 at the largest poker club in the state of Ohio, with 11 total starting flights on offer.
The second starting flight concluded with 12 players remaining. Play was halted with 3:51 left in level 18, with the dozen survivors advancing to day 2 play on Sept. 28.
Canada’s Kyle Janisse has overtaken the overall chip lead with 1,615,000 in the bag. That was good for over 100 big blinds when play wrapped up. Day 1A leader Bradley Mangune now sits in second as the only other player with over a million in chips.
Here is a look at the full chip counts for the 24 players that have moved on to day 2. There has been one player to double bag. Courtney Kennedy’s day 1B stack of 744,000 is currently the one moving forward after she also made it through day 1A.
