At the CoinPoker Cash Game World Championship, “SIGNUM” was able to easily dominate and pick off his opponents’ bluffs over and over again.
At the start of the hand, he was already up to almost five buy-ins at the online poker tables and he would take down another two in quite easy fashion.
Action
Playing six-handed at $2-$5 stakes with a $500 max buy-in, “SIGNUM” opened to $10 from under the gun. “stevefox” three-bet to $35 with 9
7
from the cutoff, and “SIGNUM” called with A
6
.
The flop was Q
8
6
and “stevefox” bet $58.12. “SIGNUM” raised to $154.99 and “stevefox” called.
The turn was the 7
. “SIGNUM” bet $279.98 and “stevefox” called.
The river was the 10
and SIGNUM bet $236.86. “stevefox” moved all in for $687.63 and “SIGNUM” called. “SIGNUM” won $2,322.70 with an ace-high flush.
Analysis
This is an unfortunate raise from “stevefox” as it loses 0.1 EV. This is also a bad call from “SIGNUM” as calling the three-bet loses 0.05 EV. He should be calling with suited A-4 and A-5 and fold every other suited ace below A-10.
Post-flop, as played, “stevefox” had a very easy triple barrel. However, “SIGNUM” led the turn, which was actually pretty sound as the board dynamic shifts to “SIGNUM’s” range.
It was a little bit of a cooler at the end but “stevefox” could have called the river instead of jamming, as he’s hardly going to get called by worse with a four-liner and three clubs on the board.
